Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, April 16, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Ron Smith officiating. Burial with military graveside rites, conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Chesapeake, OH. Lloyd was born August 20, 1936 in Wayne, WV, a son of the late Paris and Elizabeth Smith Adkins. Additional family who has preceded him in death were Bernice Moore Adkins; two grandsons, Jesse P. Adkins and James Paris "P.J." Adkins, Jr; two sisters, Elizabeth Ready and Lenore Cyrus; and two brothers, Charles Hezekiah Adkins and Paul Adkins. He was retired from the maintenance department with Owens Illinois and was serving on the Board of Directors of Huntingtonized Federal Credit Union. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Ron Smith of Cape Coral, FL; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles D. and Boni Adkins and James Paris and Maxine Adkins, all of Huntington and Wendell P. and Sue Adkins of South Point, OH; one brother, Paris Delmore Adkins of South Point; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
